I-Day celebrated with zeal in Lalkuan

The Independence Day was commemorated in various Governmental and private institutions here on Wednesday. Cultural programmes were held and sweets were distributed to the public on the occasion.

At the Century Pulp and Paper Mill, the CEO JP Narayan hoisted the national flag. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said that the toil of workers was fuel for national progress.

Economic development would take a prosperous India to greater heights, he said. HK Patro, SD Bahuguna and various other officials were also present on the occasion.

At the Nagar Panchayat the executive officer Raju Naviyal hoisted the national flag.

Saplings of various types of trees were also planted on the occasion.

At Children’s Academy school, the principal Shrish Pathak hoisted the national flag while in Jai Arihant College, the manager Akshat Jain hoisted the tricolour.

The occasion was also celebrated with fervour at various other Government and private institutions.
