Aishwarya Rai Bachchan responsible for Salman Khan’s exit from ‘Dhoom 4’?

The Dhoom franchise is known to have a renowned name to play the role of the amplified antagonist. Salman Khan, who was to step in the shoes of John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan, will no longer be a part of the upcoming instalment according to an entertainment website.

Buzz is around that Dhoom 4 will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Victor and Maneesh Sharma will be penning the script of the film.

“The Dhoom 4 shoot will commence early next year and will go on for 130 days so Adi (Aditya Chopra) is keen to lock cast and crew by this year. Major parts of the film will be shot in Dubai. While a reference poster with Salman had even been made now it seems that it’s not working out with him. This is a recent development in the last few weeks, especially post-Race 3,” a trade source said.

It won’t be difficult to speculate if we go by the Race 3 actors’ past with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan whose husband Abhishek Bachchan has been a constant name in the Dhoom franchise. Apparently, Salman refused to have any scenes with Junior B, hence the former has to be shown the door.

The insider revealed, “The writing team was racking its brain on how to come to terms with this creative change because Abhishek (who plays ACP Jai Dixit) forms a crucial part of the cast.”

Recently, we reported of the dilemma faced by Yash Raj Films in order to replace Salman Khan in Dhoom 4. The two names that popped up were that of Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan.

With Salman’s exit, the makers are planning to rope in either Shah Rukh Khan or Ranbir Kapoor. “Both are huge and much-in-demand stars and will add their own value to the film. While SRK was being considered to step into Salman’s shoes, Sanju happened to Ranbir. The movie’s blockbuster success and the fact that RK is already doing Shamshera with Adi made the makers consider him too,” the source said.

However, the spokesperson of Yash Raj Films vociferously denied the reports and said, “There is no truth to this.”
