Yash’s brace gives Ambedkar School 2-0 win over SNBP

Pune: Mata Ramabai Ambedkar English Medium School, PMC No 60 B, rode high on the performance of Yash Lonar to defeat SNBP High School, Yerawada 2-0 in the third round of the Under-14 Subroto Cup qualifying football tournament at PDFA Ground in Dobarwadi here on Thursday.

After a goalless first twenty minutes, Yash fired two goals in the 21st and 28th minutes to secure a win for Ramabai Ambedkar School. 
Earlier, in the the second round contest, Ramabai boys had ousted Indian Education Academy, Khadki 4-0.     

In the first match of the day, Loyola High School, Pashan, registered a 3-0 victory over Nagarvala Boarding School.

Akshat Dadu’s goal in the first minute started the proceedings for Loyola. Two goals were added by Rajvardhan Patil in the 9th and 27th minutes respectively.

Nagarvala Day School also advanced in the tournament with a 1-0 victory over Hill Green High School. The lone goal of the match was netted by Aryan Rathod in the 24th minute.

It turned out to be a goal fest for Vidya Bhavan High School boys as they completed a 5-1 victory over New English Day School, Ramanbaug.
Harshwardhan Dhumal, scored the first goal in the third minute for Vidya Bhavan. Daksh Desai added one more to give Vidya Bhavan a 2-0 lead in the first ten minutes. In the 11th minute, Harsh Navle scored for New English Day School. 

Gavin Lobo (19th), Swaraj Sapkal (21st) and Kshitij Kokate (23rd) added three more goals to the tally as Vidya Bhavan boys completed a comfortable 5-1 victory.
