Digital freedom through ‘Kimbho’, Muslim leaders celebrate I-Day in Rishikesh and Haridwar

On 72nd independence Day on Thursday, yoga guru Swami Ramdev and Acharya Blakrishna launched trial version of ‘Kimbho App’, claiming that it would surpass ‘Whatsapp’ users worldwide. Swami Ramdev said Kimbho was ready for android phones and would be launched for iphone soon. It was available on Google app.

The formal launch of Kimbho would be made on  August 27 in Delhi by the Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, said Acharya Balkrishna. Highlighting the importance of the Swadeshi app, Ramdev said that he wished that everyone in the country becomes medium for the digital independence.

Addressing the Muslims and children who had come from Madarassa, Swami Ramdev said, “We believed in solidarity and not division, ready to sacrifice lives for the nation and not the community. Our ways of religious practices may be different but for the country we are all one.

In Rishikesh, at Parmarth Niketan Independence Day symbolised a new dawn in interfaith harmony as hundreds of Muslim and Hindu faith leaders, students and community members converged for a more peaceful and sustainable world.

The voices and hands of Maulanas, religious leaders, children and supporters joined together in a vibrant tapestry that represented the unity in diversity that is India. Swami Chidanand Saraswati said, “Mother India is built on diversity, woven together by the threads of solidarity.

Today, we unite on the banks of Mother Ganga to pledge to work together for a cleaner, greener and more peaceful world for all.”

Imam Umer Ilyasi, president of the All-India Organization of Imams said, “I come as a representative of the 500,000 Imams of India to say we are human first, then we are Indians, and then we are Muslims.”

Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, president of the Divine Shakti Foundation and secretary-general of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, said, “Today we have truly had ‘Bharat Darshan.’ We have had darshan of the true India, an India that is united in love, united in oneness and united in a commitment to serve the nation and serve the world.”
