'Amit Shah turned off my mic': Rahul Gandhi jokes during speech

blamed his (BJP) counterpart Shah for switching off his microphone during his speech at an event here in the capital on Thursday.

While delivering his speech at Sanjhi Virasat Bachao Sammelan (Save composite culture convention) in New Delhi's Talkatora stadium,Rahul's microphone suddenly went off with a loud noise.

"Shah ji ne mic off kar diya (Shah switched it off)," Rahul said during event, which was attended by leaders from 17 Opposition parties.

Further attacking the BJP, the asserted that they work with different ideologies for the development of the country.

"Media always ask why the opposition is always against and BJP, I thought about it and after thinking over it deeply I understood that there are different ideologies in the country, one is of the BJP who thinks is a golden bird while we look at it as Ganga," Rahul noted.

"The BJP is trying to cage the country, we will not let them do so," he further asserted.
