CHANDIGARH: A two-day-old girl was found abandoned outside a woman shelter home in Sector 26 early on August 15.
Police have admitted the baby to Government Multi-specialty hospital (GMH), Sector 16, where her condition is stated to be stable. "The shelter home officials called up the police, saying a newborn wrapped in a piece of cloth was abandoned outside their premises," said a cop. Police are scrutinizing the birth registers of private nursing homes and government hospitals to get clues about the baby.A case has been registered.
