Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee passes away at the age of 93
Source: TNNFormer Indian Prime Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader (BJP) leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away at the age of 93. Vajpayee was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 with urinary tract infection, kidney tract infection, chest congestion and low urine output. He was the first non-Congress Prime Minister to complete full five year-term in the office. He was also the recipient of India’s highest civilian honour - Bharat Ratna and his birthday was declared ‘Good Governance Day’ by the Narendra Modi government in 2014.
