Modi as CM developed Guj as model: Rupani

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani unfurled the National Flag at the State-level Independence Day function at Surendranagar, known as the land of valour of Zalawad.

Addressing a large gathering, Rupani claimed that the State has achieved all-round development during the last 22 years’ continuous and stable rule.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who as the Chief Minister, developed Gujarat as a role model.

Remembering initiatives taken under Modi as CM, he said girls’ education improved in the State  through Kanya Kelavani, zero per cent dropout rate and 100 per cent school enrolment through Shala Praveshotsav and qualitative improvement in teaching through Gunotsav.

Rupani said that his government has now taken up the next stage of development through Mission Vidya to improve the students reading, writing and arithmetic skill through intensive education, Gyan Kunj to start 10,000 digital classrooms.

He said that his Government is committed to work for the development of exploited, oppressed, have-nots, poor, farmers, villagers, youth, women – be it in the field of education or health, peace or safety.

He also told success story of water conservation drive ahead of the current monsoon.

In the field of agriculture, he said that Gujarat is experimenting with Israel’s precision irrigation system, setting up ten desalination plants on Gujarat coasts, recycling and reusing municipal waste water.
