Cotchin, Astbury to miss Bombers clash

Richmond have ruled out captain Trent Cotchin and key defender David Astbury for their AFL match against Essendon.

The Tigers already will be without midfielder Dion Prestia because of hamstring soreness, while Dan Butler and Kane Lambert are recovering from ankle surgery.

Cotchin has hamstring soreness and Astbury is out because of Achilles soreness, with the reigning premiers guaranteed a home qualifying final.
