Falling rupee keep edible oils firm

Sharp drop in rupeeagainst US dollar kept sentiments in the edible oils market firm as import parity became costly. Local refineries have kept their rates steady on board. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin decreased by ₹50 to ₹1,460 and loose (10 kg) declined by ₹30 to ₹920. BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 960 (970), soya ref. 742 (740), sunflower exp. ref. 745 (745), sunflower ref. 790 (790), rapeseed ref. 900 (900), rapeseed exp. ref. 870 (870), cottonseed ref. 830 (830) and palmolein 668 (668).
