National Ayurveda teachers conference to be held on August 19

PUNE: Ayurveda Teachers Association will organize a national Ayurveda teachers conference on Sunday, August 19 at Rajiv Gandi E-learning academy auditorium in the city. Some of the major topics to be discussed are need of Ayurveda teacher association, how to improve quality of Ayurveda education and legal rights of Ayurveda teachers.

The conference will be inaugurated by Girish Mahajan, state minister for medical education and water resources, Maharashtra. Manoj Nesari, advisor ministry of AYUSH, Shivaram Savarikar, Advisor medical education, Maharashtra state etc will also be present.

'The conference is organised to unite all Ayurveda teacher across India from private, deemed, government aided and government institutes to provide the platform to their expression of their collective opinion on challenges and matter affecting the interest of Ayurvedic education and Ayurvedic teacher's profession,' said the official note.

Rahul Suryavanshi, President Ayurveda teachers association said in a written statement to media, "This is first ever such conference organised in the history of India Ayurveda education. The motive behind organising such conference and forming an association is to bring all the Ayurveda educational professionals on one platform to discuss and generate solution on the problems that Ayuveda teachers are facing. We through this conference intended to educate Ayuveda teachers about their legal rights and improve the condition of Ayuvedic teachers ultimately it will help us to improve the quality of Ayurveda education as a whole."
