Rent A Corvette Z06 And Help Hertz Celebrate Its 100th Anniversary

Go rent a car from Hertz (or most rental companies) and you’ll be looking at mostly the standard fare: Toyota Corollas, Chevy Impalas and the like. But as it celebrates its centenary, Hertz is offering something a little more special and exciting.

Enter the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Hertz 100th Anniversary Edition. It’s the latest addition to the company’s Adrenaline Collection, and you can rent it from airport locations across the country.

The all-American sports car boasts a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, dispatching 650 horsepower (485 kW) and an equally impressive 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque to the rear wheels. Though it’s typically available with a seven-speed manual transmission, the rental version packs the optional eight-speed paddle-shift automatic, along with special Hertz badging and its signature yellow livery with black stripes.

It’ll be available at airports in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco and Tampa. So there’s no shortage of locations where you can reserve your Z06.

“Hertz is a leader in the car rental industry for delivering a premium experience that is fueled by our longstanding commitment to provide our customers with caring and efficient service, and access to a variety of specialty and top-rated vehicles,” said Hertz VP Jayesh Patel. “We’re thrilled to continue to delight our customers and build upon our legacy of superior service and unique vehicle offerings with our special Hertz 100th Anniversary Edition Corvette Z06.”

Hertz also offers the standard Corvette Stingray along with a smattering of muscle cars in its Adrenaline Collection, including the Camaro SS (coupe and convertible), Ford Mustang GT, and Dodge Challenger R/T. It also keeps a smattering of Porsches on hand –including Boxsters, Caymans, 911s, Cayennes, and Panameras – as part of its Dream Cars lineup, which also includes cars like the Nissan GT-R and Tesla Model S. Just don’t expect to get the rock-bottom price to take one out for the day.
