Vajpayee's death: Haryana declares public holiday on Friday

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government declared a public holiday on Friday in its offices, including boards, corporations and educational institutions, as a mark of respect for former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who passed away in Delhi on Thursday.
The state mourning would be observed from August 16 to 22, an official statement said.

During this period, the national flag will fly at half mast throughout the state and there will be no official entertainment.
