‘Digital infra growth aiding transparency’

NEW DELHI: PM Modi on Wednesday highlighted the growth of digital infrastructure in India, including the pace in mobile phone manufacturing and expansion of optical fibre network, and said these are aiding in effective and transparent governance while providing global connectivity to Indians.

“The country is today witnessing record levels in manufacturing of mobile phones.”

He said the common service centres (CSCs), which help in spreading digital outreach in rural areas, are being used for accessing online services.

Provision of services digitally had been empowering the citizens while bringing in transparency in governance, the PM said. T
