Stree stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.

A new song from Stree, the upcoming horror comedy starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is now out. The song is a beautiful soft number and shows Rajkummar trying to woo Shraddha. It is titled Nazar Na Lag Jaaye.

The Fanney Khan actor took to Twitter and shared the song. “Pehla pyaar bahut keemti hota hai, buri nazar se bachaake rakhna! #NazarNaLagJaaye out now: http://bit.ly/NazarNaLagJaaye_Stree,” he wrote in a tweet.

Set against the backdrop of a village fair (mela), the song opens with a bangle seller trying to make Shraddha wear glass bangles. She seems to be in obvious pain as the man tries to slide them on her wrists. Seeing his ‘love’ in pain, Rajkummar, for a moment, looks annoyingly at the seller, takes her hand from him and gently glides them on even before she could realise what has happened. Seconds later, he softly kisses her hand.

In another part of the song, Rajkummar dreams about getting close to her. There’s much fooling around as Rajkummar tries to impress her. Just when a kiss is about to happen, the scene gets a bit sinister--they have moved away from the village and are somewhere close to a forest. Something about Shraddha’s expression too makes one a bit uncomfortable.

Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s tender moment from the song.

Composed by Sachin-Jigar, the song adds to the overall sentiment of the moment. Two peppy numbers from Amar Kaushik’s Stree are already out with ‘Nazar Na Lag Jaye’ being the third one after Milegi Milegi and Kamariya. The new song adds the perfect scoop of romance to the movie.

The film is an interesting blend of horror and fun and is based on a true phenomenon. It is set in a small town where it is believed that there was a beautiful woman and every man was awestruck by her beauty, but only one man loved her truly.

The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles. The flick is slated to hit theatres on August 31.
