Star-studded Montpellier too strong for WP

Cape Town - Western Province have lost to a star-studded Montpellier line up in their final game on their French tour before their defence of the  Currie Cup starts. 

Montepellier won 26-7 after leading 14-0 at half-time.

The French team scored two tries in each half, courtesy of hooker Bismarck du Plessis, wing Vincent Martin, centre Yvan Reilhac and lock Konstantin Mikautadze.

The Western Province try was scored by Scarra Ntubeni

The Cape-based said get their defence of the Currie Cup underway on August 25 against Free State in Cape Town.
