Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit and Chief Minister K. Palaniswami on Thursday condoled the death of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
"A great son of Mother India is no more. But his service to the people of India as the Prime Minister of the nation, memories of his speeches in Parliament and outside, and his qualities of tolerance and magnanimity will live on forever," Purohit said.
Palaniswami said Vajpayee was an able administrator and was also an excellet speaker who was interested in literature.
Vajpayee's death is a great loss to the nation and to the BJP, Palaniswami added.
