It's all over: No big winners for WA in $100m Powerball
WA may have missed out on the big prizes in Thursday's record-breaking $100 million Powerball jackpot, but two lucky division two winners won't be complaining.
Two winning division two tickets, worth $122,896.20 each were two of 15 tickets sold nationwide.
But the division two wins are a far cry from the division one winners, who will be chasing up their $50 million in prize money later this week.
Nevertheless, WA made a valiant showing in division three where 28 locals also managed to scoop $3805.90 each.
The numbers were 33, 3, 32, 13, 27, 35, 31, with Powerball number 3.
The record division one prize money came after no ticket entry held all winning numbers in a single game for eight consecutive weeks.
According to Lotterywest, the big win was the equal highest Australian lottery jackpot ever recorded.
The only other time there was a $100 million prize offered in Australia was for an OZ Lotto draw in 2012.
The current Lotto record is held by a New South Wales couple.
"The current record is held by a couple of Hervey Bay grandparents who won $70 million in January 2016," a Lotterywest spokeswoman said.
"Before their life-changing windfall the winners confessed to never having won anything more than 'a chook raffle'."
