BENGALURU: Air passengers traveling between Bengaluru and Kochi on Wednesday faced severe inconvenience after flight operations at Cochin International Airport were suspended till 2pm.

At least 10 flights between Bengaluru and Kochi have been cancelled on Wednesday so far.

Several Kochi-bound passengers were stranded at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) after five flights - including Air Asia India (6:05am), IndiGo (6:35am, 9am), Alliance Air (6:45am) and SpiceJet (12:25pm) - which were scheduled to take off from here have been cancelled.

Five flights including Air Asia India, scheduled to arrive at KIA at 8:40am, Indigo (9:25am, 12noon), Alliance Air (1:40pm) and Spicejet (3pm) respectively on Wednesday have been cancelled so far.

Airport authorities are urging fliers traveling between Bengaluru and Kochi to check their flight status with respective airlines in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
