L-G greets nation on I-Day eve, says treat all with respect, dignity

Greeting the nation on the eve of the 72nd Independence Day, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal  exhorted the people to set an example of good citizenship and emphasised the need to treat all with respect and dignity, irrespective of caste, class, gender, religion or region.

Baijal said, “As we commemorate our Independence today, let us remember and pay homage to the sacrifices of those who laid their lives to deliver freedom to us.

He said that the Independence Day is an occasion for us to renew our pledge to serve our nation with greater sincerity, commitment and truth, in all walks of life.”
