The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel returned a bag with jewels left behind by a passenger in the Pothigai Express on Tuesday.
According to the police, K.A. Viswanathan, 35, from Adambakkam, was returning from Tenkasi on Tuesday. Around 5.30 a.m, he alighted at Tambaram and boarded a suburban train to St. Thomas Mount. He realised his wife had left behind a bag containing 15 sovereigns of gold jewellery and ₹6,760 in the Pothigai Express.
He called 182 - the RPF control room. The RPF personnel Ashok Kumar and Ramesh secured the bag.
