A newly married woman committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house in Meerpet here on Wednesday.
Meerpet Inspector of Police A. Manmohan said the victim was identified as V. Amani (24), wife of Ramnivas, a resident of Vijayanagar Colony in the area.
According to him, the victim was allegedly depressed over her previous relationship with one Rakesh. Cops recovered a suicide note purportedly written by her, in which Amani stated that Rakesh had mentally harassed her for several years due to which she decided to end her life.
She had love marriage with Ramnivas 45 days ago at Arya Samaj.
