Why ICC ranked every batsman number one

International Cricket Council, the governing body of international cricket ranked every batsman in the world on Tuesday.

In response to a tweet by Kanye West,an American rapper, singer, songwriter and Kim Kardashian’s husband, which read ‘no one is better than anyone.’ ICC tweeted ‘If you say so yeezy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯’ along with a picture of West’s tweet and another picture showing Steve Smith, former Australia captain, as the number one batsman in world cricket along with several other batsmen.

Steve Smith regained the number one rank in world cricket from Virat Kohli earlier this week after the India captain managed to score 23 & 17 in the second Test against England at Lord’s.

Last week, on the back of his first Century and half-century in England Virat Kohli had become the first Indian batsman to have the number one rank in ICC rankings since Sachin Tendulkar in 2011.
