Considered to be the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu himself, Ramakrishna Paramhansa was one of India's most revered spiritual leader in the 19th century. He believed in the divine embodiment of the supreme being in every individual and was known to offer simple explanations for complex spiritual concepts. He was also credited for the revival of Hinduism in Bengal. One of his most prominent disciples was Vivekananda, who carried on Ramakrishna's teachings and philosophy through the Ramakrishna Mission.
