Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan took a special preparatory meeting with officials from various central public sector enterprises (CPSEs), banks and institutions on holding the “SC-ST Conclave - 2018” on August 30 in city.

The meeting was attended by representatives from NTPC, Nalco, NSIC, MCL, Paradeep Port Trust, SBI and various other CPSEs and banks. In the meeting deliberations were also held on various coinciding events to take place on August 30 at NSIC complex, Mancheswar Industrial Estate.

Welcoming the participants, the Minister expressed that all the stakeholders must play their role for the success of the SC-ST conclave. He expressed that all like CPSEs and banks must effectively engage in confidence building of the SC-ST populace which will facilitate in improving the involvement of members from SC-ST community in the various development programmes of Government of India.

The Minister urged all CPSEs and banks to give mass publicity of the SC-ST conclave to be held through posters and hoardings at different strategic outlets / windows in their organizations. The Minister also desired that each organisation must also engage with the SC-ST members of their staff informing them of the Central Government initiative for the members SC-ST community. The Minister called upon the CPSEs and banks to exhibit the products and services procured by them and also make a presentation of their procurement procedure, by putting up stalls in the exhibition during the conclave.
