Wrexham have recorded their joint best-ever start to a season in the fifth tier of English football.
Tuesday night’s 2-0 victory at Maidenhead made it 10 points out of a possible 12 from four matches for Sam Ricketts’ unbeaten outfit.
That equals the Dragons’ previous finest performance in the first four games of the Conference in 2011/12.
Under then manager Andy Morrell, Wrexham won three of their first four games and went on to be victorious in six of their opening seven.
However, even in that season, Wrexham did not manage to do what they have done this term, which is to keep four successive clean sheets.
Wrexham are in their 11th season in the fifth tier.
