Singaji Thermal Power starts super critical unit at full load

Madhya Pradesh power generating company Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project started operating super critical unit at full load of 660 MW at 8.19 am on Tuesday. Minister for Power Madhya Pradesh Government Paras Jain, Principal Secretary (Energy) ICP Keshari and MD of MP Power Management Company Sanjay Kumar Shukla congratulated all engineers and employees on the achievement.  Managing Director of Power Generating Company Anup Kumar Nanda said that in the Nimad region under phase 2 under the construction of super critical units initial operation of unit number three was started 10 days ago. After different inspections and using auxiliary plants gradually it required 43 months and 14 days to making the unit fully functional and operational at full load capacity.

He said that soon testing operation would be conducted and unit would start to supply power. The foundation stone laying ceremony of construction of units under second phase was facilitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2015.

Nanda said that continuous monitoring and guidance, review and instructions given during the visits by Principal Secretary (Energy) ICP Keshari  has helped in the successful achievement of the target of operating super critical unit at full load.

He shared that the unit would be highest capacity unit of Madhya Pradesh. The unit is based on thermal efficiency and super critical technique which has been developed by L & T Power and its subsidiaries.
