GURUGRAM: Four laptops and three smartphones were stolen from the office of senior BJP functionary Raman Malik in South City 2, a township in Gurugram, on Tuesday. The early morning break-in, Malik claimed, was aimed at stealing election-related data.
Malik, who is national convenor of BJP's communications cell and a spokesperson for the party in Haryana, said the stolen items contained important information - data related to voters, constituencies in Haryana, strongholds of opposition parties - the party could use in the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly poll campaigns.
