A Spanish driver has reportedly tested positive for “every possible drug” after being pulled over by police in the town of Carcastillo. Police found high levels of cannabis, amphetamines/methamphetamine, cocaine and opiates, as well as alcohol, in the man’s system. He was fined €2,000 and his car was impounded.
Lunch ladies charged over $500,000 scam
Two elderly school cafeteria workers have been charged with stealing almost $500,000 over the past five years. The pair, who are sisters, were caught when a new electronic accounting system was installed – and the daily income of the cafeteria jumped from $33 a day to $183.
Naked Norwegian protests cruise ships
A 71-year-old Norwegian politician has mounted a public protest against the number of cruise ships that sail past his fjord-side holiday home. Svein Ingvald Opdal posted photo of himself naked outside his home, in what he called “a spontaneous act” in protest over the thousands of tourists who sail past each day.
