MADURAI: Burglars broke into the house of a retired
BSNL official here and decamped with
gold jewellery worth Rs 11.40 lakh and Rs 5 lakh in
cash.
The
burglary that happened in the house of G Ganapathi in Mahatma Gandhi Nagar came to light when he returned home from his daughter’s home at Vaigaikulam on Monday evening. He went to his daughter’s home on Saturday
On being alerted, a team Koodal Pudur police station reached there and conducted investigations.
The burglars gained entry into the house by breaking open the front gate and the front door.
