Certificate course on FAFD for CA members organised

Bhopal Branch of The Institute of chartered Accountants of India has organised 135th Batch of FAFD (Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection) Certificate Course for CA members from Monday.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by guests. CA Abhishek Gupta, Chairman of Bhopal Branch had given the inaugural speech and describes the importance of Forensic Accounting and Fraud detection.

CA Anup Shrivastava, Managing Committee member and Course Coordinatorof Bhopal branch has explained the details of Course curriculum and inform the participants about the examination. CA Anshul Agrawal, Secretary of Bhopal branch has conducted the inaugural session. CA CharudattaMarathe of Nagpur, faculty of First session along with managing committee also present in the opening ceremony.

About 30 CA participants have registered for the FAFD Certificate Course. The importance of Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection was increasingly felt by insurance companies, banks, police and government agencies considering the growing incidence of cyber crimes/frauds and corporate failures.

It has been emphasised that this Forensic accounting is the branch of accounting which utilize principles of accounting, auditing and investigation skills to handle legal matters. Its main function is to investigate and analyze financial records of any client or firm who are involved in a legal dispute. Forensic accountant has various other roles to play such as an accountant, detective and legal expert.

FAFD Course is very important and Forensic Accountants are required in most of the Banks, Financial institutions and major accounting firms for investigating mergers and acquisitions, specialized audits and in other kinds of civil litigation support, economic crime investigations, tax investigations and even in terrorist investigations.

After the course the CAs can conduct the Forensic Audits and help the institutions and organisations in the detection of frauds.

During the programme participants will get knowledge about financial frauds, Methods of investigations, Cyber Law and crime, Digital forensics, Information Technology Act, Evidence Act and ethical hacking.
