Chaddi gang leader arrested, brought to Hyderabad on transit warrant

HYDERABAD: Rachakonda police with the help of local police of Dahod district of Gujarat, arrested the leader and the founder of the Chaddi Gang.

The gang is known for committing burglary during the night wearing just their innerwear.

The main leader of the gang, Paramour Rama Badhiya (47), a resident of Sahada village of Dahod district of Gujarat, was involved in nearly 29 cases of burglary in both the Telugu states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier, Rachakonda police personnel had captured three members of the gang, Kishan Badhiya, Ravoji and Bharath Singh, at Adibatla in Ranga Reddy district on August 1, after receiving a credible tip-off.

The accused was arrested on August 10 in Gujarat and was produced before the court in Garbada. He then has been brought on transit warrant to the city to be produced before the court at L.B. Nagar, said police.

The police have recovered gold ornaments weighing 300 grams and Silver ornaments weighing about 500 grams and one mobile phone, all worth Rs. 10 Lakhs from his possession.
