Communist Party of India (Marxist) Krishna District secretary R. Raghu on Monday demanded a survey of government land that was allegedly converted into aqua ponds in Krishna district without regulation.
Mr. Raghu, accompanied by party supporters on Monday, submitted a memorandum to Gudivada Revenue Officer G. V. Satyavani, demanding the survey so that the identified land could be given to the poor. “The land along the coastal belt of Krishna district has been converted into aqua ponds without any regulation,” he said.
