Double murder at Hunsur farmhouse: HC acquits ex-JDS corporator, 7 others

BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court has acquitted eight persons, including former JDS corporator C Mahadesh alias Avva Madesha and his brother C Manjunath, in relation to murdering two persons at a farmhouse in Hunsur on the night of May 14,2008.

A division bench headed by Justice R B Budihal acquitted them after noting that almost all the witnesses have turned hostile to the prosecution.

On February 26, 2016, the Mysuru court had sentenced all the accused to life imprisonment on the charge of murdering Rajesh alias Gandhi and Ramu at a farmhouse in Hunsur.
