Two drown in two incidents in Jagatsinghpur

Two persons, including a kid, drowned in two incidents in Jagatsinghpur district on Saturday.

Reports said that teen Tulu Singh of Tarikunda village had gone missing while bathing in Machhagaon canal two days ago. His body was found floating in canal at Skpatna on Saturday.

The police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem after registering an unnatural death case.

In another case a 32 year old youth, identified as Tima Behera from Khadikadanda village under Balikuda area drowned in Muguranali, a tributary of river Devi on Saturday. The deceased slipped into the water body while running a pump set in paddy field. Locals rescued him and sent to the Balikuda hospital for treatment where he was declared brought dead. An unnatural death case was registered.
