Grasim posts 25% YoY jump in Q1 consolidated profit at Rs 1,116 crore

NEW DELHI: Grasim Industries on Tuesday reported a 25 per cent YoY rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1,116.07 crore against Rs 890.45 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

Total income of the company stood at Rs 17,089.65 crore, up 52 per cent, against Rs 11,222.17 crore in the year-ago period.

Diluted EPS (earnings per share) of the company came in at Rs 16.98 against Rs 19.07 in the year-ago period and 10.95 in March quarter.

On standalone basis, net profit of the company stood at Rs 642.55 crore, up 85 per cent against Rs 347.19 crore in the year-ago period.

At the time of writing this report, the stock was trading at Rs 983.30 apiece on BSE, down 0.45 per cent.
