Three-day ‘Detour’ begins today

Detour, the annual media festival of Jai Hind College organised by the Department Of Mass Media, is back again to mark it’s 11th year. The three-day event kicks off on August 14 with all the programmes scheduled at Y.B. Chavan auditorium.

With the theme this year being very contemporary, i.e., ‘Stay Woke’, the fest aims to put across how to focus on the need to be socially aware so that the youth can make use of the media available in abundance to take a call of action.

The launch will showcase the theme and the events of the fest in a fun and interactive manner. Representatives from around 40 colleges are expected to attend. The fest boasts of several high profile media partners and sponsors associated with it in the past years, including LIC, Doritos, Inox, MTV, Coke Studio, MidDay, Site-N-Sign Outdoor Advertising, Coca-Cola, Vodafone, Globus, Mumbai Mirror, Afternoon DC, Spykar, Time Out - to name a few.
