Ayushman Bharat Yojana for Rudraprayag and Pauri as pilot project

The State health department has selected Rudraprayag and Pauri districts for pilot projects for the implementation of the ambitious universal health insurance scheme-the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. While addressing a training workshop held at the health directorate to discuss the project on Monday, the mission director National Health Mission ( NHM) and chief executive officer (CEO) of Ayushman Bharat in Uttarakhand, Yugal Kishore Pant said that the pilot projects in Pauri and Rudraprayag districts would start on Independence Day. He said that the objective of the pilot project is to understand the technical and other glitches and find their possible solutions before the scheme is implanted across the State. The State nodal officer of Ayushman Bharat, Dr Saroj Naithani said the training workshop is most important part in successful implementation of the scheme. She  further said that in course of the workshop, the officials and employees have been trained in understanding software designed for beneficiaries’ identification documentation, process of claims and their settlements. Dr Naithani said that all the necessary preparations for implementation of the pilot project in Pauri and Rudraprayag districts have been done and two teams are being sent to these districts from the State headquarters to monitor the scheme.

The nodal officer informed that representatives and IT experts of important medical institutes like AIIMS Rishikesh, Himalayan Hospital Jollygrant, Mahant Indiresh hospital, Subharati hospital, Max, Kailash, Synergy, Doon medical college hospital, Base hospital Srinagar and Hans Foundation participated.
