Rs 6.44 crore set for Mo School 2nd phase

The second executive council meeting of the Mo School Abhiyan Parichalana Sangathan was held here on Monday under the chairmanship of School and Mass Education Department Principal Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra.

In order to strengthen the infrastructure under the project, as many as 616 schools of eight districts, Angul, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Nuapada, Sambalpur and Keonjhar would be covered up in the in second phase.

It was decided that Rs 6, 44, 41,000 would be spent in the second phase in which the State Government would have contribution of Rs 4, 29, 61, 000. Public donors would provide the balance amount of Rs 2, 14, 80,000.

It was also decided to build a network of civil society or organisation towards extending support to alumni associations at block and district levels and bringing together the local agencies for process improvement, monitoring and impact evaluation as part of the joint initiative.

Among others, Mo School project Member-Secretary and OPEPA and RMSA State Project Director Bhupendra Singh Poonia was present.
