Mild tremors were experienced in the industrial hub of Palvancha and a few mandals adjoining the coal belt region of Kothagudem on Tuesday night sending people into a tizzy. Mild tremors were felt in Palvancha town for a few seconds at about 9.15 p.m. “I heard the sound of utensils shaking for a while on the dining table while I was glued to television watching a news bulletin,said Bhaskar, an employee of the Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS).
Unconfirmed reports said tremors were also felt for two to three seconds in some parts of Burgampadu mandal near the temple town of Bhadrachalam.
