Fortis vote may go in favour of Malaysia’s IHH

IHH had defeated Manipal TPG to acquire FHL. The result of an extraordinary general meeting, held on Monday, is yet to be decided as the counting of votes was still on at the time of going to print.
NEW DELHI: Fortis Healthcare’s (FHL) shareholders are likely to decide in favour of Malaysian major IHH’s bid to acquire substantial stake in the company through allotment of shares worth Rs 4,000 crore on preferential basis at Rs 170 per share.

IHH had defeated Manipal TPG to acquire FHL. The result of an extraordinary general meeting, held on Monday, is yet to be decided as the counting of votes was still on at the time of going to print.

A company spokesperson said the result would be announced on Tuesday.
