CGPCC forms Committee to probe Sukma encounter

Terming the encounter of security forces with Maoists in Sukma district of Bastar on August 6 as “fake”,  the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) has formed an 18-member probe committee to enquire into the matter.

CGPCC Chief Bhupesh Baghel has formed an 18 member probe committee on the encounter in which according to State police 15 Maoists were gunned down, party sources informed.

The members of the committee include National Vice President, Tribal Congress, Manoj Mandavi as its Convenor. Other members in the Probe Committee include Working President of CGPCC, Ramdayal Uikey, Deputy Leader of Opposition, Kawasi Lakhma, MLA, Mohan Markam and MLA, Dipak Baij.
