Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar on Monday said that if the State Government gives proof against the involvement of party leaders in inciting violence during 2016 Jat agitation, we will take action against them.

“If the government gives us the CBI chargesheet and proof against those named for inciting violence during the agitation, we will take action against those Congress leaders,” said Tanwar while talking to the mediapersons here.

He was responding to the queries related to those named in the CBI chargesheet filed before a Panchkula court into the attack at Rohtak residence of Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu during the February 2016 Jat reservation stir,

The Finance Minister had recently alleged that chargesheet has named many Congress leaders close to former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

While responding to another question on an attack on him during Congress’ event in October 2016 in New Delhi, Tanwar said that I have got justice at party level but not at police and judiciary level.

Delhi and Haryana Governments have failed to act against the PSO and others who had attacked me, he said.

After the incident during which Tanwar had sustained head injuries, he had blamed supporters of Hooda for the attack, naming Hooda’s PSO in his complaint filed with Delhi Police.

On Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his supporter MLAs projecting Hooda as party’s CM face for next elections, Tanwar said that as per party’s practice, there will be no chief ministerial candidate and we will go to the polls without  this.
