School children get insight into Army equipment

Aurangabad: It’s not every day that a common man gets a close look at artillery guns and infantry weapons.

To commemorate the 71st Independence Day, the Army conducted ‘Know your Army Mela’ for school going children and NCC cadets at Aurangabad Cantonment on Saturday. The event included a display of a wide array of military equipment and weapons, which demonstrated the technological advancement and military might of the Indian Army. The major attraction of the event was the display of artillery guns and infantry weapons. 

Around two thousand students from various schools in Aurangabad witnessed the display. “The ‘Know Your Army Mela’ was an effort to intrigue the senses of our youngsters to know more about the army and increase the awareness of the students and local populace about the might of the Indian Army and also to motivate them to serve the nation by joining Armed Forces,” read the statement by the Army. 

The event witnessed great enthusiasm and active participation of the people of Aurangabad and left a deep impact on the hearts and minds of everyone.
