Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, On Triyodashi ritual of 99-year-old Laxmi Devi, 41 family member and friends of her family will fully produced pledge papers to donate eyes after their death here recently. They handed over these pledge papers to office bearer of Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital.
Some people in the society set such examples, which always show the ways to others. Such example was set by three sons Shankar Sharan, Gopal Sharan and Ishwar Sharan Saxena of late Laxmi Devi.
It was learnt that the sons of deceased Laxmi devi performed ritual of Triyodashi of their beloved mother. On this occasion they decided to fill the pledge forms to willfully donate eyes.
They inspired family friends, dearest and nearest relatives also. Not only eye donation they donated 25units of blood on Triyodashi of their mother. Besides five other family members have also produced pledge forms for Aims Hospital Bhopal to donate their body. While 40 other persons produced pledge forms to donate their other organs after death.
Shri Shankar Sharan Saxena, son of deceased Laxmi Devi, said that by nature people cooperate with each other on different issues in their life time in the society. After death if body parts of a deceased persons is transplanted to any needy ailing person, then none other sacrifice is bigger than this.
Shri L.C Janiyani, Managing Trustee of Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital prayed for the peace of departed soul and expressed gratitude to the persons who have will fully produced their pledge forms to donate their eyes.
Eyes of late Mahesh Chandra Dubey donated
Eyes of 84-year-old deceased Mahesh Chandra Dubey have been donated to Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital by his son Mukesh Dubey. It is learnt that resident of Hoshangabad Road, Bhopal late Mahesh Chandra died on Friday July 27th 2018. With this donation two blind persons would now get eye-sight.
As many as 1,573 free cornea transplantation have so far been performed in Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital. Trustee Shri L.C. Janiyani paid homage to the departed soul and expressed gratitude to the family members for this donation.
