PUNE: The faculty of management at the MIT World Peace University had recently organised a session on anti-harassment policy and women health for their newly commenced batch.
Co-founder of Law and Beyond Sheetal Babar, committee member at the college, Divya Chauhan, consultant at the Bombay High Court Arshad Nehal among other experts were present for the orientation, a statement issued by the college said.
Dean of the faculty of management, Sayalee Gankar, introduced the delegates to the audience and addressed the students with her inspirational thoughts.
In the latter half of the event, woman specialist Dr. Priya Deshpande helped understand the importance of a healthy and balanced diet whereas gynaecologist and infertility specialist at Phadake Hospital, Dr. Manasi Naralkar helped us understand the importance of sanitary napkins and daily exercise for leading a healthy life.
Arshad Nehal theoretically explained the laws related to sexual harassment in college campuses and workplaces. CS Sandeep Nagarkar threw light on what should be the steps taken by the victim as well as the culprit. Divya Chauhan guided students on how the internal complaint committee works, said the statement.
