Expanding Footprint
City:

Saraf Furniture, Rajasthan based online furniture retailer and manufacturer, is planning to expand its footprint in the online and offline market as a part of phase-2 growth.

While the company made its ecommerce debut in 2014, the journey of the brand began almost 4 decades ago. Operating through B2B platform, Saraf Furniture specialises in providing high-quality Sheesham wood products.

Raghunandan Saraf, founder & CEO, Saraf Furniture told Financial Chronicle “Saraf furniture started with the idea of bringing solid furniture to the Indian market. Earlier we were selling it locally as we were exporting the furniture. In the export market, there was no brand as saraf furniture because it was the B2B platform.”

The company also offers a customisable product, lifetime warranty, free shipping all over India and easy shipping to international customers.

In Terms of branding and promotion the company is already promoting  its product through digital platform as well as through their experiential stores “currently we have got experiential centers in about 5 cities in India where one can go and look at the furniture understand what it is made of what is the difference between solid wood and other material.” Raghunandan added.

Saraf furniture exclusively focuses on Sheesham wood furniture. “In next 4-5 years the competition will not invest on this exclusivity, they are more focused on the stock value. I don't see any other major company coming in Sheesham wood industry”.

The company is right now gaining the 95 per cent of the domestic sale through the ecommerce platform.

The company which operates its experiential stores in Hyderabad, Delhi, Surat, Bangalore is planning to open four more stores this year in Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and in Kochi.

Saraf is planning to do a partnership with architects around the country. It plans to launch exclusive B2B platform to onboard the architects and the designers who can promote their products to the customers.

The company has so far delivered 150 units. And by the end of 2018, the company wants to take up their export platform to the UK, US, Canada, Singapore and the West Asia.
