Arunachal Pradesh CM lays foundation stone for HC building

The foundation stone for a High Court building in was laid by at Naharlagun, near here, yesterday.

Calling it as a "historic day" for the state, Khandu expressed hope that the justice delivery system would be smoothened and fastracked with the coming up of the building.

"This is a dream that came true after 18 years since the permanent bench of the in Itanagar was inaugurated here exactly on this day in 2000," he said.

The said the new building would be built entirely from the states own resources without depending on the Centre.

He set a target of two years for its completion.

"For development to pick up pace, the state needs to have efficient justice delivery system and law and order in place," the said.
