Four arrested in BDO shooting case

Giridih police on Sunday claimed to have solved the murder attempt on a Block Development Officer and one other block staff with the arrest of two contract killers.

Sudhir Kumar and Hari Mandal were allegedly involved into firing while one woman identified as Sushma Devi wife of injured Azad Mandal and Sita Ram Mandal from Ganday area in Giridih district.

"We have arrested four persons while a hunt is on for a few others. Investigation is still in progress,” Superintendent of Police SK Jha said. BDO Prabhakar Mirdha and Azad Mandal were shot inside their premises of Ganday at 8:30 pm when two men barged into and fired two rounds.
