BHUBANESWAR: The
East Coast Railway (ECoR) will come up with a new time table of trains with effect from August 15. Timing of as many as 84 trains originating and passing through the
ECoR zone will be changed, said official sources.
Railways comes up with such time tables every year to include changes in the timings of the trains, extension of trains, increase in frequency and renumbering of trains and introduction of new train services.
According to the new time table, around 25 trains will leave their originating stations before the scheduled time. Timings of many trains have also been changed at different stations for time adjustment in view of smooth running of trains, said the ECoR statement.
Train like
Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Duronto Express (12281) will leave Bhubaneswar at 7.35 am instead of its existing timing of 8 am. Similarly, Bhubaneswar-Anand Vihar Odisha Sampark Kranti Express will leave Bhubaneswar 10 minutes before at 3.40 pm now.
Other trains include
Puri-Howrah Dhauli express,
Bhubaneswar-Balangir Inter City Express,
Puri-Tirupati Express, Puri-Howrah Sri Jagannath Express, Puri-Durg Express, Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express and Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express will leave their originating station before the scheduled time from this Independence Day.
The time table has included Rourkela-Sambalpur-Rourkela MEMU as daily train. It was running six days a week. Four trains have been extended from the existing destination to the next stations.
After conversion of trains from passenger to MEMU, ten numbers of trains have been re-numbered and included in timetable. These were 58534/58533 Berhampur-Cuttack Passenger as 68434/68433 (Berhampur-Cuttack MEMU), 58422/58421 Puri-Angul passenger as 68022/68021 (Puri-Angul MEMU), 78103/78104 Rourkela-Sambalpur-Rourkela passenger as 68027/68028 Rourkela-Sambalpur-Rourkela MEMU, 58135/58136 Jharsuguda-Sambalpur passenger as 68033/68034 Jharsuguda-Sambalpur MEMU and 58137/58138 Jharsuguda-Sambalpur passenger as 68031/68032 Jharsuguda-Sambalpur MEMU.
ECoR appealed all rail users especially passengers to check out the timing of their travelling train much before their journey schedule for hassle free train journey, said a spokesperson of the zone.
